This drawing was inspired by the Tarot Card 'The Fool'. Which has an image on it of a young person joined by their loyal dog going off on an adventure. The scene has a slightly ominous feel as the youth looks optimistically towards the sky while at their feet a few steps ahead lies a cliff edge. I always found the image interesting. This piece isn't a depiction of the scene but inspired by it.

My daughter Ada takes up the role of the Fool in a moment's rest on their journey. Feathers in her hair, a nod to the feathers in the fools hair in the tarot deck. Alongside her is her loyal dog Daisy. I created a gesture of a setting in nature. The reference photo was against a black backdrop.

Enjoyed creating this piece. To have both my daughter and dog together in it added emotion to the piece for me
